Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve (aka Dike 14) Spring Open House

Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve recently opened to the public. This special event, sponsored by the Environmental Education Collaborative, will include guided bird hikes. More information at www.dike14.org OR http://www.portofcleveland.com/site.cfm/Environment-Sustainability/Dike-14.cfm
**The Exploration Station Nature Center will be open from 8 am to 4 pm this day.**

Lets Clean the Beach then get Alive on 185 and get free tacos and Burritos
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Join Adopt-a-Beach volunteers for a beach cleanup at Euclid Beach State Park from 9am-1030am and then join in on the Alive on 185 Parade and Sidewalk Sale at 1100am!
Helping out at the beach/the parade or both gets a free taco and a Chilli Peppers restaurant (869 East 185th Street Cleveland 44110) free burrito gift card, good for one free burrito! Tell a friend or two or three about this great place! Shout out to Steve Newman the owner for all his support!
Volunteers will meet in the park pavilion at Euclid Beach State Park at 9am (16250 Lakeshore Blvd. Cleveland OH 44110) and head down to the beach to tally and pick up trash and conduct water quality tests. Gloves, trash pickers, rakes and bags will be provided.
Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the weather whatever it may be and wear closed toed tennis shoes.
Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
After the cleanup at 1030am all volunteers are invited to join us in the Alive on 185 Parade at 11am!
Volunteers participating in the parade will be walking down East 185th st. passing out flyers for the Euclid Beach Blast on Saturday August 4th!
The parade begins at Villaview and East 185th (near Muldoon’s Saloon & Eatery) and will end at Lakeshore Blvd. Parking is available at the parade lineup at Bella Academy of Excellence (19114 Bella Drive Cleveland, OH 44119)

After the parade we will also have a table set up during the sidewalk sale from 12-4pm to collect donations to give people helpful handouts about our great lakes.

*Some helpful suggestions from volunteers: Bring a 5 gallon bucket, rake, clicker, or gloves if you have them. We always accept bags (blue and regular) too!
