WHAT
Let's take a united stand. Let's stand outside on the sidewalks of our homes. Lets all go out and stand at the same time FRIDAY JUNE 19th, 2020 @ 6:40...for at least 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

WHY?
To stand in solidarity in our communities (while social distancing) to protest racial injustice in this country.
...to stand against racism
...to stand for justice
...to stand against tyranny
...to stand for Black Lives
...to stand for all humanity

WHY June 19th, 6:40pm, 8 minutes and 46 seconds?
June 19th represents the day, where the last slaves were emancipated in Galveston, Texas...2 and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Lincoln. This day is known as "Juneteenth".

6:40pm (18:00pm approximate military time) - represents the Year 1865 in which the year which slaves were finally liberated.

8 minutes and 46 seconds - is the time that George Floyd had a knee pressed on his neck killing him.

HOW?
Take your family outside to the sidewalk
Make signs calling for justice.
Take pictures and Go Live on Social Media
Dialogue with neighbors about the injustices and the impact of racism. (social distanced)
Cook-Out and enjoy friends, neighbors, and family.
Keep fighting until racism is destroyed.
Don't change the conversation.

Cameras may not see you...
but your children will...
your neighbors will...
