The Festival of St. Anthony

It is that time of year again to renew old acquaintances and make new ones also.

Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave, Cleveland 44110, is having their yearly family festival in honor of St. Anthony, who is the Saint of lost causes and items.

The Tredicina (a novena to honor a Saint) starts on June 1, 2012 with a nightly mass at 7pm. Visiting Priests will be at various masses in order to pray to and honor St. Anthony. On Saturday, June 9, beginning after 4pm Mass, the festivities start on the Church grounds until 10 pm.

Sunday, June 10, there will be a 10:30 am Mass with Bishop Edward Pevec as the Celebrant and a procession of the Eucharist through the streets of the Collinwood area, followed by the Festival from 1-8pm.

There will be live entertainment both Saturday night as well as Sunday, along with homemade Italian foods, pizza and sausage, fried dough, tripe and other enticing foods. In addition to all of this, there are games of chance, gift baskets to be won and a $5,000 cash raffle to be won on Sunday night.

Come out and join with the neighborhood in this family event to celebrate the Feast of St.Anthony and have a fun-filled time right in your own back yard. If you need further information on the festival and/or you are interested in donating a basket to be raffled off or any other kind of donation, please contact the Church at 216.531.3313
