What's Happening At The Collinwood Library

On Tuesday, May 7th the Collinwood branch of the Cleveland Public Library will celebrate Mother’s Day and Cinco de Mayo with our Madre’s Day program which will begin at 3:00 p.m. Students will learn about the celebration of Cinco de Mayo while we also honor our mothers and create a gift for Mother’s Day.

We are getting ready to launch our Summer Reading Club 2013:  MAKE It a Great Summer! The program will run from June 10-August 2. Kids who participate will have an opportunity to earn prizes along the way while also earning online achievement badges. Those who complete the program will receive a voucher for up to 4 tickets for the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Saturday, August 18. Each week of our Summer Reading Club will feature a different MAKER event.  Come join us at the Collinwood branch on Tuesday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m. as we MAKE NOISE when we kick-off the beginning of the Cleveland Public Library Summer Reading Club 2013: MAKE It a Great Summer!

The Cleveland Food Bank will provide a bagged summer lunch for students starting on Monday, June 10 through Friday, August 2. Lunches will be served Monday-Friday from 3:30-4:30.

Please stop by the Collinwood Branch for more information on our Summer Reading Club 2013: MAKE It a Great Summer! or to sign up for a free library card for yourself, your infant or child. "MyPlace My Card" supports literacy for the youngest - kids five years old and under can sign up for a free library card with a parent signature.
