PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH

America Reads FREE After School Tutoring

Students in K-8 can get assistance with their homework. College students from Cleveland State University assist with any subject and/or reseach project.  Mondays-Thursdays from 3:00-6:00 p.m. starting Monday, September 22

Kids Café Snack Program

The Cleveland Foodbank in collaboration with the Cleveland Public Library offers FREE after school meals for ages 18 and under.  Mondays-Fridays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. starting Monday, September 8

Back to School Party!

We are going to share all the wonderful resources available to you through our kids and teens website. Join us for games, snacks and door prizes! Thursday, September 4 at 3:30 p.m.

Make Your Masterpiece: Sketchbook Drawing

Everyday an artist is born, make today your day! Find out how you can turn your ideas into works of art using an iPad, a drawing pen, and the Sketchbook app. Learn the techniques and skills needed to create digital masterpieces, and share or print your works of art before you leave. No artistic ability is required, just a sense of fun!Appropriate for grade 1+ and adults. Tuesday, September 23 at 4:30 p.m.

River of Words Poetry

Calling all teen poets! Come to a fun and interactive poetry workshop and create a poem to enter into the River of Words environmental poetry and art contest. The annual international contest is open to all K-12 students and the deadline for entry is December 1, 2014. The Ohio Center for the Book @ Cleveland Public Library coordinates the contest in Ohio and will grant prizes to the top entries from the Buckeye State. Tuesday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m.
