Halloween on WaterBOO

Costume contest winner, ages 0-5

The sky was gray and the wind was blowing, but that didn’t stop the families of Collinwood from dressing up in costumes and coming out for Halloween on WaterBOO! Originally the activities were going to be held outside, but the old bank building proved to be a great location for the event headquarters.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Waterloo if there weren’t a whole lot of arts and crafts. Down the street, artists of all ages participated in pumpkin painting and decorating with beach trash. Yes, beach trash! There were large pumpkins and small pumpkins. The small pumpkins were entered into a contest; the winners are now on display in the Phone Gallery located on Waterloo Road. The children did potato printing on their trick-or-treat bags, and then strolled down Waterloo to the many businesses that were passing out candy. There were also a variety of games, including double dutch, bean bag toss, and a scavenger hunt.

Special thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and resources to make this event a hit!
