March Events at the Memorial-Nottingham Library

For Adults: Free GED Classes.  Monday and Wednesdays, at 10:15 a.m. These free GED classes are offered through a partnership with Tri-C.  Registration is required to take the classes. Please call the Memorial-Nottingham Library at 216-623-7039 to register, and for further information.

For Children: I Love My Mom!  Monday March 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Mom is such a special word. It’s the loveliest ever heard!”  To celebrate Mother’s Day, this special class for kids will teach children how to make a “beautiful bouquet of roses” just for their mom on her special day. And also have fun doing a special Mother’s Day crossword puzzle.

For Children: Celebrate Maewyn! Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 4:00 p.mMaewyn is another name for St. Patrick’s Day, and kids of all ages are invited to learn about the beginnings of St. Patrick’s Day, and also to make beautiful clovers out of coffee filters, and do word searches.

Jeanne Coppola

Jeanne Coppola is a resident of the Collinwood neighborhood, and is interested in art and writing. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cleveland State University, where she was a writer for the multi-cultural student magazine, "The Vindicator."

Jeanne is pleased to be able to write for "The Collinwood Observer," and offer her comments and opinions for this new and exciting community newspaper.
