Northeast Shores Development's 2016 Board of Directors

During Northeast Shores' Annual Meeting on January 19th, members had the opportunity to vote for residents and businesses running to be on the Northeast Shores' Board of Directors. This year brought some new faces, as well as some returning directors. Those in the running shared their interest in joining the Board of Directors to the members. There have been some exciting additions. This new class will certainly share their enthusiasm for the neighborhood!

Residents

Ms. Allison (Ali) Lukacsy, resident Ms. Lukacsy moved to the neighborhood in 2013. Since joining the neighborhood, Ms. Lukacsy has used her artist and architect skills to complete projects including the Phone Gallery, Yarn N Yoga, The Lakefront Literacy Project, Bus Stop Moves, Locks of Love from Waterloo and other projects. Ms. Lukacsy is an architectural designer and project manager with Geis Companies and serves on the City of Cleveland's Northeast Design Review committee whose jurisdiction includes multiple districts in Collinwood. Ms. Lukacsy was appointed to the Northeast Shores Board in 2014. Ms. Lukacsy is seeking her first full elected term on the board. She is currently the chairperson for the Residential Development Committee.”

Ms. Rhonda McLean, resident- Ms. McLean has lived in the neighborhood for the last sixteen years. She is currently the Associate Director of Health Services for NEON Health Services Inc. Besides a long career in health care, she was a mathematics teacher with the Cleveland Municipal School District. Besides being active with the East 156th Street Block Watch, Ms. McLean is also an active graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Development Program. Ms. McLean is seeking her second term on the Northeast Shores Board of Directors.

Mr. Tim Moore, resident – Mr. Moore returned to North Collinwood as a homeowner in 2014 after spending nearly a decade away.  During this time he graduated from the University of Dayton, worked as a paid Field Organizer on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, and lived and worked in Washington DC for four years. Mr. Moore grew up in the neighborhood and graduated from VASJ High School. Mr. Moore is now a Corporate Legal Client Manager with LexisNexis. Mr. Moore is interested in attracting new residents and businesses to the neighborhood along with cleaning up litter and abandoned properties.

Businesses/Institutions

Mr. Joe Bruzas, ImageMart Inc. – Mr. Bruzas is the owner of ImageMart Inc. located at 17320 St. Clair Avenue. Mr. Bruzas is an active participant of several Northeast Shores committees including the Marketing Committee and the Commercial Development Committee. Mr. Bruzas is seeking his second full term on the board.

Mr. Larry Fielder, Rust, Dust and Other Four Letter Words – Mr. Fielder added his business to the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District over a year ago. Mr. Fielder’s business creates one of a kind furniture, lighting and home décor utilizing found objects. It is Mr. Fielder’s intent to be dedicated to this business full-time after he retires from his career as a Claims Adjuster with Westfield Insurance Company. He is an active volunteer for the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation. Mr. Fielder was a board member for the I-CAR organization.

Mr. Kevin Flynt, Villa Angela St. Joseph (VASJ) High School - Mr. Flynt is a current member of the Northeast Shores Board of Directors. Mr. Flynt is the Director of Community Outreach. Before joining the staff at VASJ, Mr. Flynt has been employed by various high schools and security. He also served as a board member for Pinnacle Academy located in Euclid. Mr. Flynt is also a past School Board Member for Euclid as well. VASJ High School has maintained an appointee on the Northeast Shores Board of Directors since its inception.

Mr. Filippo (Fil) Scafidi, Euclid Hospital – Mr. Scafidi is the Northeast Shores Vice Chair and is the Personnel Committee Chairperson. He is seeking a fourth term on the Northeast Shores Board of Directors. Mr. Scafidi is the Director of Support Services/Facilities at Euclid Hospital. Mr. Scafidi was once employed at the Euclid Beach Amusement Park. Euclid Hospital has maintained an appointee on the Northeast Shores Board of Directors since its inception.

Ms. Michelle Seyranian, Hospice of the Western Reserve – Ms. Seyranian is the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer for the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Ms. Seyranian has an extensive career in supporting strategic planning, marketing and business development initiatives. She has a master’s degree in non-profit management from Case Western Reserve University. Ms. Seyranian is seeking a second term on the Northeast Shores Board of Directors.
