Ballot Box Project award winner Stephen Bivens will bring his project, This is Collinwood: History in Everyday People, to a close at the end of this month. Bivens has been photographing local businesses and families in the Collinwood community. As an entrant and awardee in the History category, Bivens hopes to capture, on film, the unique people and places that make Collinwood the neighborhood we are proud to call home.

“I am so grateful to be part of this amazing place. I have come to know some incredible people through this project. I can’t wait to share the photos I’ve taken with my neighbors and friends,” says Bivens. Returning to Cleveland just over a year ago, Bivens has quickly become a recognizable figure in the neighborhood. “I can’t imagine living anywhere else,” he shares.

Bivens’ work will be showcased at Six Shooter Coffee the month of November. An opening reception will be hosted on Friday, November 4 from 5-8pm during the monthly Walk All Over Waterloo event. Six Shooter Coffee is located at 16021 Waterloo Road.

The Ballot Box Project has been generously funded by ArtPlace America and Northeast Shores Development Corporation. “I am so thankful for their support for this project,” says Bivens. Learn more by visiting facebook.com/BallotBoxBiv.
