New Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Jerome Church

Members of the newly formed St. Jerome Church Prayer Shawl Ministry gather with their creations before Mass.  Shawls are prayerfully made for distribution to parishioners and others in the community.  Uses for the shawls are endless, and St. Jerome has begun giving them to those who may be in need of comfort from illness, recovery or grief.  The group knits, crochets, quilts or sews in various styles and colors.  Nothing goes to waste, and small pieces of fabric or yarn are turned into warm winter scarves for the St. Jerome School students.  The shawls and scarves are made with love and blessed before being given.  Contact the parish office if you would like to join this ministry of service or if you would like to give or receive a shawl.
