Summer Happenings at Collinwood Neighborhood Catholic Ministries

Collinwood Neighborhood Catholic Ministries is bursting with activities this Summer.

Community garden - Children from the Apples of Gold Daycare Center learn about gardening and nutrition. The children planted vegetables and visit the garden every Wednesday to check their growth progress. They learn the benefits of a healthy diet under the tutelage of an AMERICORPS volunteer.

Neighbors maintain the garden. Soon it will be ready for harvesting. If you would like to be part of this bountiful opportunity please call 216-408-0214 for more information.

Healthy Moms – Healthy Babies – Pregnant and young moms meet every Wednesday from 11:00 – 1:00 with an AMERICORPS volunteer to learn about healthy eating habits for themselves and their families. An AMERICORPS volunteer facilitates the group. Pregnant moms also have the support of a doula. Please call Sr Mary Ellen at 216-408-0214 for more
information.

Wellness Center – Reiki and Cranial-sacral professionals are available by appointment to help relieve stress. Participants learn the technique of Reiki and experience the release of positive energy to relieve themselves from the stresses of life and promote health. They receive treatments and learn the techniques for self-healing.
Cranial Sacral therapy is available. This is a method for healing and stress-relief as well. It is a gentle noninvasive form of bodywork. The goal is to release compression in the areas which hold stress.

Call Sr. Mary Ellen for an appointment for Reiki and/or Cranial Sacral Therapy at 216-481- 8182. There is no charge for either therapy but a free will offering will be accepted.
