E 185th Neighborhood Association Meeting Report: Good News with WPC Project Starting!

At our March 12th meeting, we welcomed Commissioner Rachid Zoghaib and his team, to explain the soon-to-begin E 185th St Water Pollution Control Project.

Points covered included:

1) Traffic will be basically maintained. This is possible, because the work will be done by tunneling, rather than by opening up the whole street.

2) Afterwards, the street will be redone.

3) Begins in June or July, and will take about 18 months to 2 years.

Councilman Polensek also talked about this project, along with other community news.

Our Fifth District Community Engagement Officers then took questions, about neighborhood concerns.

Mr. Greg Pollard brought along information, on different programs now offered by Greater Collinwood Development Corporation.

As always, we invite you to check out your local Neighborhood Association - the meetings are always listed in the Community Meetingscalendar here in the Collinwood Observer. This is your regular chance, to talk to both the Councilman, & our local Police District - & it's a great way to be active, in this community of ours.

Look forward to seeing you! (And bring a neighbor!)

See you next month!
