E 185th Neighborhood Association Meeting: Collinwood Rec Center - Getting Involved
The E 185th Neighborhood Association held its July meeting, as always, at the Lithuanian American Citizens Club on E 185th St. And - as always - there were lots of upcoming events to catch everyone up on, and our Fifth District Community Engagement Officer was on hand as always, to talk about neighborhood issues, & report back on previous questions.
Our guest this meeting, was Michael Cook, President of the "Friends" group for our Collinwood Rec Center. Not only is our Rec Center one of the busiest - if not thebusiest - Rec Centers in the city, Mr. Cook says being so offers all kinds of opportunities for volunteering, to help keep our Rec Center great. Including joining the "Friends" Board. Do consider joining the "Friends'" Board - especially if you're a regular user of the Rec Center. Meetings are every second Tuesday, at 6:00pm, at the Rec Center.

Moved to Collinwood in 2012 - and loving it! - but have been active in the neighborhood for many years before that.
Always interested in promoting Collinwood! Euclid Beach Park, history in general (especially as part of the Collinwood Nottingham Historical Society.) A regular contributor to the Collinwood Observer, as well as very much involved in things in the neighborhood. Currently Chair of the E 185th Neighborhood Association, member of our Collinwood Nottingham Historical Society, & Chair of the Collinwood School Fire Memorial Garden Project. And 2019 Ward 8 Senior of the Year.
