More Than Just Food

As impressive as the food distribution is at the CCC3 Hunger Center on the East Side of Cleveland, there is more to this seemingly small ministry than just food. Area residents who qualify to access the Center are also given the opportunity to rummage through the extensive clothing offering as well.

“We are so blessed by the number of churches and individuals who help support the Hunger Center through their very generous gifts,” says Center Coordinator, Mella Young. “Apart from the food we get through the Cleveland Food Bank and the purchases we make through donations received, we are also recipients of clothing, which are available to those we serve. And these are good clothes. It’s sort of like Christmas all the year through. It truly makes our hearts joyful to be able to help fill the needs of families in as many ways as we can. That’s why we strive so hard to continue to host our Annual Toy Give-Away which our families really appreciate. We hope and pray to continue this ministry as long as we can.”

Funding of the Hunger Center is provided exclusively through donations which may be made directly by mail to St. John Nottingham Church or though the SJN website under the “Giving” tab at www.stjohnnottingham.org
