Cleveland-based Nickelodoen Stopmotion Artist on View Now in Phone Gallery

Stop by Phone Gallery ANY TIME of day now through the end of January 2020 to view Tom Megalis’ work of mixed media. He worked on shows like KABLAM! and his work can be seen at Choolaah restaurants.

Now through the end of January 2020, Cleveland artist Tom Megalis (http://www.tommegalis.com/) will be exhibiting in Phone Gallery (15302 Waterloo Rd, Cleveland, OH  44110) - Cleveland's smallest art gallery and inventive space for solo visual exhibitions inside a once vacant pay phone box in the burgeoning Waterloo Arts District - designed in 2013 and continuously curated by Collinwood resident, architect and artist Allison Lukacsy-Love.

Tom earned a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA – also Allison’s alma mater! He has been an artist for over 25 years, the last eight with a studio in Cleveland. Tom’s work includes stopmotion for Nickelodoen (KABLAM! AMANDA SHOW), MTV and many others. His public art can be viewed on display at Choolaah in Ohio and Virginia. He has exhibited work at many shows including Three Rivers Arts Festival, Zanesville Museum of Art, Westmorland Museum of Art and ArtElevated banner in NYC.

His work titled “I Can Start Tomorrow” will be visible in Phone Gallery (www.facebook.com/WaterlooPhoneGallery/) 24/7 although visitors are especially encouraged to experience the work during the monthly first Friday art walks (Walk All Over Waterloo).

Interested in applying for a solo exhibition in Phone Gallery? It’s always free! The short application can be found on the ‘My Creative Compass’ website or by emailing ali.alithearchitect@gmail.com. Spaces are now available beginning in Fall 2020, so you have plenty of time to create new and exciting work in this miniature gallery!
