Dinner and a Movie

With the arts and food districts gaining momentum throughout Cleveland, it is impossible to overlook what has settled on Lake Erie’s shore. A site with local flare and casual yet upscale dining, the Eastshore District has emerged as the east side destination.

Dining sites Beachclub Bistro and the Grovewood Tavern and Wine Bar coupled with a splash of entertainment from Atlas Cinemas Lakeshore have pulled their marketing dollars to create the east side dining and entertainment destination - the Eastshore District.

When it comes to satisfying your taste buds, proprietors Greg Jurcisin of Beachclub Bistro and Beth Davis-Noragon of Grovewood tavern are committed to great dining experiences. Both are proud members of Cleveland Independents, displaying not solely their commitment to quality food but also to the community.

A welcoming and laid back environment, the Beachclub Bistro boasts comfort with upscale vibe. The Bistro has been turning out specialty pizzas for years, each bearing the name of the docks of the beach clubs along Lake Erie. Pizzas and entrées are easily coupled with a pick off their long list of craft draft beers, featuring several Ohio brews. The wine selection is fit for boasting as well, to be enjoyed with the meal or to sip from their selected non-smoking patio, overlooking a pond and waterfall. Smokers welcome to the front patio, and the dining room is open for 50 people. If you're looking for unique evening, visit their website to learn of different themed nights from Wednesday sushi to International taco and guacamole night and live music.

The Beachclub Bistro is open Tuesday-Thursday 11am-10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am-11pm and Sundays 11am-8pm. Happy hour is also available from 4-6pm offering $1 off draft beers and house wine pours, $2 off all cocktails. Private parties with up to 85 people can be held there as well on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Grovewood Tavern and Wine Bar offers a clean, friendly and relaxed environment with a funky flair. Guests can socialize with friends and new acquaintances in an easy going atmosphere on the front patio, while choosing from a wide selection of fine wines; domestic and imported micro-brewed beer and select liquors.

The patrons of the Grovewood Tavern in Winebar are a diverse and funny bunch, who come to enjoy fine beverages, fine food, and of course fine company. The menu features familiar exotic foods from around the world for reasonable prices. Customer favorites determine the weekly specials, so you are ensured to find something you’ll love.
