The Summer Reading Club Celebration at the Memorial/Nottingham Library will be held August 6, 2013, at 5:00pm.  The program will "celebrate a summer of reading and fun." for all kids who read books and had fun making and building crafts.

In the summer, all neighborhood Cleveland Public Library branches, have a Summer Reading Club for kids.  This year, the Summer Reading Club ran from June 10 - August 2. Each week, the library also had a "hands on maker fun" event, where kids could Make, Build, Craft and Cereate, a variety of fun crafts.

Kids who signed up at:  http://readingclub.cpl.org and who read 10 books or more, "earned a voucher for up to four tickets to the Cleveland Public Library Day at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, on Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.   Summer Reading Club Finale.

The events at the Summer Reading Club Finale, will include these activities:  "Library Bookmobile; kid's activities with NASA, family fun, music and more!"

Congratulations to all the kids who signed up and had fun reading and making crafts this summer!

Jeanne Coppola

Jeanne Coppola is a resident of the Collinwood neighborhood, and is interested in art and writing. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cleveland State University, where she was a writer for the multi-cultural student magazine, "The Vindicator."

Jeanne is pleased to be able to write for "The Collinwood Observer," and offer her comments and opinions for this new and exciting community newspaper.
