LIBRARY LEVY CORRECTION: Please Don't Panic

My call to take the library levy seriously, with its threat of branch closings, was perhaps a bit too serious: the official assessment of the situation is,”If the levy fails, Cleveland Public Library will lose 48% of its funding. The Library will have to make cuts to its services.”

"Cuts to services" don't necessarily mean cuts to branches, of course – but any cuts demanded by a 48% drop in revenue would be things we’d badly miss.

So don’t relax completely.

Do go to www.SupportClevelandLibrary.com, or email joycedodrill@sbcglobal.net to offer your assistance in getting the levy passed.
