“The Cleveland Playwrights Festival is a foundational event for us,” says David Todd, Artistic Director of Playwrights Local. “It promotes our cause in a direct way, and it gets the word out about a lot of amazing playwrights, teachers, and performers. It also gives us a chance to partner with groups that we support, and that support us, from the theater community. We’ve collaborated with all of these companies, or with members of all of them, over our first three seasons, and they’ve all helped us find our place in the Cleveland scene.”
