Siggy's Village Community Garden and Free Urban Market Coming to Collinwood

In collaboration with Collinwood Neighborhood Catholic Ministries and CAMHP Foundation, Collinwood now has a parcel of land situated between St. Clair and Aspinwall. It’s free and open to the neighborhood of Collinwood.

The process of gardening will begin next Spring. Before we can start that process we need a committee who will collectively determine what kinds of fruits, herbs, organic, and vegetables to plant and who would also bring new ideas and suggestions to the table.

In the meantime, we are seeking out volunteers from the neighborhood to participate one or two hours a week to do the gardening.

Also, donations are very important in getting the garden up and moving, we are looking for planting tools such as: wood, wheel barrels, shovels, rakes and just about anything that is used for gardening.

  • Great way to socialize and meet other community neighbors
  • Harvest with Family
  • Save money and volunteer by donating time
  • Plant new organic kinds of fruit and berries
  • Join the Committee be part of a group
  • Be Creative and take ownership

Keep yourself informed as there will be an up and coming meeting in October to jumpstart the planning stages of the garden, so please consider being on our committee.

If you would like to either join the committee or become a volunteer please contact Kelly Diamond at (216)-694-8052.
