Walk & Roll E.185 - Call for Participants
Attention artists, makers and community members: There are two brand new events coming this summer to E. 185th Street and we want you to participate!
Walk & Roll E. 185 will take place on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in tandem with the Collinwood Cycle Celebration - both events are geared at getting the community out and active as they see all that E. 185th Street has to offer.
Walk & Roll started in 2006 as a family friendly, health focused event on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive - now it's coming back as part of the vibrant Collinwood community. The event will start with a community parade down E. 185th Street at 10:00 am along with a sidewalk sale featuring local vendors, organizations, tons of free activities and specials from area businesses.
The Collinwood Cycle Celebration is a community bike rodeo that will take place at 560 E. 185th Street during Walk & Roll. Cycling partners from across the region will be on-site to provide hands-on bike safety education and skills to riders of all ages. The event will also feature gear giveaways and several group bike rides around the community.
