National Library Card Sign-Up Month Returns September 1-30
This September, the Euclid Public Library is again teaming up with eight other local library systems to encourage every child under 18, to sign up for a free library card or get rid of fines that may stop them from checking out their favorite items. The initiative, called A Card for Every Kid, will take place September 1-30 to coincide with National Library Card Sign-Up Month. It is a cooperative effort among the Cuyahoga County library systems to raise awareness of the importance of library card ownership for children and teens. The initiative also seeks to gain a better understanding of the barriers that keep some children and teens from owning a library card.
Visit EPL, Cleveland Public Library, Cuyahoga County Public Library, East Cleveland Public Library, Heights Public Library (Cleveland Heights-University Heights), Lakewood Public Library, Rocky River Public Library, Shaker Heights Public Library, and Westlake Porter Public Library anytime during September to register for a library card or to receive a one-time waiver of fines and fees. Participants will receive a Smencil™ while supplies last! Some restrictions may apply. Please visit EPL for more information.
