Kickin' it with Cops IS BACK: Cleanin' with Cops
“Time for some spring cleaning.” Collinwood & Nottingham Villages Development Corp in partnership with Cleveland Police Foundation and Litterbugz will host “Cleanin’ with Cops” on Saturday April 21, 2018 at Humphrey Park 207 E. 161st Cleveland, Oh 44110 from 12:30pm-4:00pm. There will be live entertainment as we prepare to clean the neighborhood.
“This is a great opportunity to for police and residents to get work together in the community.” “Our goal is to encourage residents and officers to build community and break down barriers” said Kristian Hunter, Americorps VISTA of Collinwood & Nottingham Villages Development Corp/Creator of Kickin’ it with Cops.
This is a city-wide competition, so let’s come out and clean with our 5th District officers. The goal is to get 15 teams of 5 participants to split along the South Collinwood area and pick up litter. The district with the most trash collected will win a Cleanin’ with Cops competition. Once participants complete the cleaning portion, we will return to a designated location for end of clean party. Students will receive service hours if needed. Participants will have a chance to win prizes, food & drinks will be provided. Collinwood & Nottingham Villages Development Corporation
The Collinwood & Nottingham Villages Development Corporation is a non-profit organization created to preserve, promote, and protect the quality of life in our communities. We serve as an economic pump and liaison between businesses, industry, and residents. We work closely with our councilmen, political leaders, and city departments including the Departments of Safety, Health, Community and Economic Development,and Building & Housing. The corporation is operated by a board of trustees representing area residents, churches, business, and industry. Our office is located in Collinwood Village, staffed by 2 full-time and 3 part-time individuals. The corporation is funded through the City of Cleveland, as well as private donations, and other grants.
