NEORSD Clean Water Fest on Sept. 21

Calling all families and clean water enthusiasts!

Join us in celebrating the Cuyahoga River’s 50 years of progress and a River Reborn at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s 13th annual Clean Water Fest and Open House on Saturday, September 21 in Cuyahoga Heights.

Last year, more than 3000 visitors came out to learn about what we do, find out where their water goes, and how to keep their Great Lake great. This year’s theme commemorates the 50th anniversary since the last (and final) time that the Cuyahoga River burned in 1969 and the miraculous recovery that has taken place through hard work, determination, partnerships and investment. The once considered “dead” river has been reborn into a national environmental success story that is now home to more than 70 species of fish and a place of recreation for all to enjoy.

Tour our award-winning wastewater treatment plant and lab, visit more than 70 exhibitor booths, meet with our employees and local partners, operate equipment, win giveaways, explore exciting science with mad scientist “Atom Beaker,” have lunch at a food truck, enjoy free ice cream and more.

When: Saturday, September 21st from 9am-4pm (last tour at 3pm, closed-toe shoes mandatory for tours)

Where: 4747 E. 49th St., Cuyahoga Heights, OH 44125
