VASJ men’s basketball - Hameed sets career 3-point record in loss to St. Edward

VASJ wrapped up the regular season with a 109-62 loss to Division I power St. Edward Feb. 22 at the Viking Village.

Junior guard Jaden Hameed scored 34 points for the Vikings and passed Simon Texidor on the school’s all-time 3-point field goals list. Hameed hit seven 3s and now has 161 in his career.

"I think we just played the D1 state champs – I hope so,” VASJ coach Babe Kwasniak said. “Coach (Eric) Flannery held the ball for the last 2 minutes – he probably could have scored 150 on us. He’s a class act. I mean, they have three studs that have been playing varsity for four years, I just don’t see a weakness with that team. They made 20 3-point field goals.

Noah Clarke added 13 points for VASJ in the loss to St. Edward.
