City Announces Residents and Landlords Assistance Program
City of Cleveland Department of Community Development recently announced a residents and landlords assistance program in light of Covid-19 hardship many Clevelanders now face. The program aims to keep residents out of the homeless system, maintain viable tenants in their homes, and help landlords to continue to support themselves, according to a press release statement issued June 2.
City of Cleveland has allocated $11.3 million to the newly created resident and landlord assistance program through CARES Act. Low to moderate-income households impacted by Covid-19, experiencing unemployment or a reduction in household income will be eligible to apply. The program commences July 2020.
